Travel Journal: What I Learned From All My Trips this Summer

I feel like this summer was the first time in a long time where I was constantly going somewhere almost every weekend. Last year I was so bored during parts of the summer I prayed for more things to do in 2025…but I didn’t want this much!

From weddings to trips to bachelorette parties, I was absolutely everywhere this year even starting in February. Here’s the running list:

  • a short trip to Belize
  • 2 bachelorette parties (Nashville & Universal Studios)
  • 2 weddings
  • a long trip to Greece
  • a short trip to Ireland

Upcoming for the rest of 2025

  • a trip to Savannah, Georgia
  • a long trip to Egypt!
Yatching in Greece (jk its a catamaran)

I’m honestly really grateful to be able to have these amazing experiences but I have to be honest I’m tired (and so is my credit card)! I think things are slowing down a bit next year, which means I can make time for some longer trips.

2026 Travels

Not having any weddings or set commitments for next year has me thinking that the world is really my oyster! What immediately comes to mind is Brazil and Japan.

These two places have been on my list for a while and I’ve really been dying to go to both. I’m at the point where I don’t want to wait for people anymore and I’d rather just book a group tour. I did G Adventures for Peru and had an amazing time! I kinda want to try a different company like EF Ultimate.

Even as a travel advisor, I still like doing group trips. Mostly because I prefer not to be alone. I lean towards a more shy personality type but I still love being around people and talking. Group trips really make “solo travel” easy.

Social Media

I’ve been focusing on my blog for the last year and now that I have that up and running I’ve decided to pivot to TikTok as well. I’m not abandoning this blog, but more so using my long form content here to create short form content there. I’ve been hesitant because I thought TikTok was going away but it seems to be holding strong. Stay tuned for more video content!

How was your summer? Any plans to travel this winter/fall?
