What are the best winter travel essentials?
Health & wellness travel essentials
I absolutely hate getting sick in the winter especially on vacation, so I’ve been packing the following to keep my immune system up!
Portable Nebulizer (Humidifier)
Nothing dries out my airways, skin, everything like a flight does. I’ve also learned that dry nasal pasages is what leads to catching illnesses easier so I’ve recently invested in a nebulizer for my flights. Even if it doesn’t stop illness 100% it feels so much better.

Supplements for Immunity
As someone who gets sick basically every winter and almost every vacation, I’ve come to rely on immune support. These EZCpak supplements have zinc and echinacea which makes it so easy to fight off illness, especially after being locked in a metal tube with a bunch of strangers!

Sleep Aid
This is a new edition to the travel rotation, but sleeping aids have made my travel experience much better. I find it hard to sleep on flights especially in economy, but this makes winter travel a lot more manageable. The more sleep I can get the better I feel when I land!
I bought this brand before my trip to Greece, and after meal service (some win) and these pills I was able to sleep for at least 4 hours consecutively! That’s a win for me!

Best way to pack for winter travel
Vacuum storage bags
I traveled to Madrid, Spain in the spring time where it was really rainy and cold, and I had to pack a ton of sweaters. The only thing that saved me were these storage bags!
I knew I wanted to buy things too so I’m glad I brought these to help me make space in my suitcase. I would say this is the most important of the winter travel essentials because it really helps when packings all of the bulky sweaters and jackets.

Laundry Detergent Sheets
For those who aren’t overpackers such as myself, if you’re traveling for a long time it may be worth it to include a few laundry detergent sheets in your travels. Especially if you’re going somewhere that may include a lot of messy activities like hiking in the snow or getting clothes all sandy from the beach,
During my trip to Belize we had an in unit laundry which was sooo nice. I was able to come home with clean clothes and no issues of sandy suitcases. However we did have to buy detergent and I wish we had this instead.

Staying warm during winter travel
Water-resistant and packable puffer jacker
Of course a list of winter travel essentials isn’t complete without the perfect puffer jacket. Even if you’re going somewhere warm, I love having a puffer jacket during the travel between airports. This one is foldable too so it’s super easy to put in your carry on.

Rechargeable Hand Warmers
A recent discovery that a friend told me about is rechargable hand warmers! I’ve always hated the little packs that feel like they lose their warmth after a short amount of time. These hand warmers are the perfect addition to suitcase if you’re traveling somewhere cold this winter!

In the same category of hand warmth, these touch screen gloves are also an important edition to the winter travel essentials list. I’ve only used touch screen gloves over the last few years (especially living in Boston) and I’m super happy with the ones below!
