The best part of traveling is honestly the food! In this blog post I’ll go through some of the best restaurants to try on the Greek Islands (Mykonos & Santorini, Bonus: Athens) that include a range of different prices. Most of these locations are known for their incredible food, but also the fantastic sunset views. It’ll be important to make sure to reserve your table between 7 and 8 pm to make sure you’re there for sunset!
These different restaurants range from traditional Greek taverns to more modern fine dining experiences. I also included a few random restaurants that we happened to stumble upon during our vacation!

Where to Eat in Mykonos
If you’re looking for restaurants in Mykonos, the following places are some of the best food I’ve ever had on vacation and feature some amazing sunset views as well.
Nice n Easy Mykonos Review
This restaurant was our first dinner out on the Greek islands, and it definitely set the tone! Located right next to the water, this spot is also where everyone will congregate to watch the sun go down at night. This is definitely one of the more romantic restaurants to try on the Greek islands so you’ll want to get a reservation in advance!
My meal was super good and light, with a very refreshing cocktail. The menu has some authentic Greek options and tons of different seafood options as well. Everyone enjoyed their meals and honestly one of the things you’ll notice in this post is that all of the food is good! You can’t really go wrong in Greece so it’s just down to personal preference.
Zuma Mykonos Review
This was my favorite dinner experience not only because of the fabulous tasting menu, but also the overall vibes of this restaurant. If you’re interested in a modern, sexy and classy vibe in Mykonos, then this is the restaurant for you!
Keep in mind this is a Japanese restaurant, so you won’t get authentic Greek cuisine here. However, the views, the vibes, and everything are sooo worth it. If I were to book a travel experience for my clients I would include this as one of the best restaurants to try on the Greek islands.
We had the tasting menu that was soo yummy, and they actually moved us from the table to the day beds for desert, which was such a nice vibe. I’m mentioning atmosphere a lot, but I promise the sushi here was so fresh and incredible! This is a fun splurge for your romantic getaway if you’re looking for restaurants to try on the Greek islands.
Karavaki Mykonos Review
Another restaurant with a fabulous view! However, this one is also a hotel, so definitely look into staying here for a few nights. It’s located right outside of the main town in Mykonos so keep that in mind when it comes to partying in the old town!
At this restaurant I had yet another seafood risotto (I swear I had traditional Greek food!) and it was a hit! Another table even asked about what I was eating and it was so good!
Bonus: Smashtag
This is just a random smash burger spot and I wouldn’t say its one of the absolute best restaurants to try on the Greek islands, BUT it was insanely good! I checked my credit card statement and we went back 3 times! It’s a nice cheap option for lunch or a snack after a fun night out!
Dinner with a View in Santorini
Kastro Santorini Review
Santorini is known for its beautiful sunset views, so of course Kastro was not an exception. This ended up being my favorite meal in all of Greece. I got the octopus that was on a bed of polenta and honestly I could’ve had another plate if they handed it to me!
10/10 culinary experience!
Ammoudi Fish Tavern Santorini Review
Pro tip: Take an Uber or taxi to this restaurant! If you take the bus it will take you to the center of town and the hike down to the restaurant is horrible.
Ammoudi Fish Tavern is a nice restaurant located right on the water so you get a beautiful sunset view. I didn’t love my meal, but the octopus was amazing here too! It’s a popular restaurant for a reason, but I think there’s other really great places to eat in Santorini as well such as the next option!
Pacman Sunset Santorini Review
This sushi and medditerrainin restaurant was our last beautiful view in Greece, and again had some great sushi and drinks here. The outdoor seating was absoutly gorgeous and was attached to an even prettier hotel resort.
As the sun begins to set there’s some interesting dancers and music playing, but overrall the vibe was similar to Zuma. If I had to choose between the two I’d definitely consider Zuma for my fancy dinner with a view in Greece. But if you can pay for both options I’d definitely do both!
To Conclude
There’s tons of restaurants that you can choose from when traveling to Mykonos and Santorini, however these are just the ones that stood out to me. Of course for a more authentic vibe, just walk down some side streets and try to find places that don’t look super busy or there’s only locals inside.
For example, in Athens, we stumbled upon Thinalos Seafood Tavern, which was AMAZING. There were only other locals inside and it was honestly not very busy.
